Cesar Hernandez

Please join families from around Santa Cruz County as they come together to hear from a representative of the national PFLAG organization. The first hour of the PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) Santa Cruz County meeting is dedicated to discussion groups, followed by a brief break. The second hour will be dedicated to our January guest speaker.

About Cesar Hernandez

Cesar graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Urban & Regional Planning and a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has six years of work experience with several LGBT organizations, where he gained hands-on experience working with the public, private and non-profit sectors. His work began in the field of youth development through HIV Prevention at Bienestar Human Services, a Latino-based CBO in East Los Angeles. Many years later, he found himself working at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center coordinating activities for the men’s Program, HIV Prevention and Community Organizing. Cesar’s goal is to create a welcoming community for all who have experienced discrimination due to race, age, gender, sexual orientation, and ability.
